17th Annual Highlands Bike Fest
Designed by cyclists for cyclists! Enjoy one, two or preferably three days of cycling in the gently rolling hills of Highlands County, excellent buffet lunch meals by Chef Mac, an Ice Cream Social, Door Prizes, etc. Cyclists will especially appreciate our lightly traveled back roads, typically friendly motorists, citrus groves, cattle ranches, and small towns typical of rural Central Florida. Fully supported routes with cue sheets & maps, on-road route marks, rest stops, and dispatched SAG service vehicles. Daily rides ranging from 10 to 62 miles plus our Highlands County Century (100 miles) on Saturday. A massage therapist will be available after the rides for a nominal fee. Meals: Registrants will enjoy a daily continental breakfast and a deluxe buffet lunch that includes salad, carving, buffet, and desert stations. For example main entrees on Saturday 2013 included: Carved Turkey Breast with Cranberry Sauce, Yankee Pot Roast with Pan Drippings, and Baked Grouper with a lemon Caper Butter Sauce. Other Things to Do include: The pub, socializing, swimming, games, golfing, shopping at Legacy Bicycle Shop (next door), or visit Henscratch Vineyard & Winery or Hammock State Park.. Event Co-Hosts: Highlands Pedalers bicycle club & the historic Kenilworth Lodge where registration, packet pick up and all rides originate. Early Registration Deadline ? August 22. Event t-shirts will be guaranteed for riders registering by this deadline. No refunds after this deadline

100/62/30/15 mile. Registration opens at 5:30. Riders begin at 7:00 AM. Fully supported event, including SAG, and rest stops. A one day ride, down beautiful A1A, all to benefit the children and families served by KID. Registration is $50.00 and we are asking each rider to raise $150.00. Tour of Boca
Come join the fun with the 2013-2014 Tour of Boca rides, sponsored by the Boca Raton Bike Club and the City of Boca Raton and recreational services. Tour beautiful Boca Raton with a 15 mile, easy-paced, police escorted bicycle ride beginning at Patch Reef Park, 2000 NW 51st St/Yamato Rd. (just west of Military trail). Registration: 12:30PM; Ride starts: 1:00 pm; Registration fee $2.00. There is a rest stop for refreshments midway through the ride. Promote safe cycling while spending a pleasant afternoon with family and friends. Children must be at least 10 years old and must be accompanied by an adult if under 14. No baby seats. All riders are required to wear helmets. A limited number will be provided. For those who are unable to complete the ride we also supply a SAG wagon( support vehicle).
