The Ride Leader/Ride Marshal class and certification program is the flagship of Florida Bicycle’s courses, and has trained hundreds of people throughout the state to safely and effectively lead group rides. The five-hour course is appropriate for everyone from event organizers to club cyclists to community and recreational riders. The curriculum addresses safety, laws, proper prep, helmet fitting, riding etiquette, rider-down protocols, pace line communications, and controlling speed. At the conclusion of the class, students can opt to take a written test for certification. The program is offered at various times of the year. See Upcoming Events for information about classes that are scheduled and open for registration, or submit the form to receive updates when additional courses are scheduled.
